These are the words of Pertunia Malingisa, founder and CEO of Kutlwano Malingisa Foundation, Mr & Miss Mzansi International and National Director for Clash of the Province Beauty Pageant.
She spoke after being nominated in the Youth Empowerment Ambassador category at the 3rd edition of Emerge Africa Awards to be held at ACPP Proclamation Hill in Pretoria.
The awards will be announced on 6 April this year. The event aims to recognise excellence and innovation by young Africans.
Malingisa, born and raised in Soweto, established her organisations 10 years ago and each one of them has been doing very well.
“I am humbled and grateful for this recognition of my work. It feels like a validation of the time, energy, and passion that I have poured into my craft,” Malingisa said.
She has promised to do even more to ensure that Mzansi youth realise their potential through her organisations.
“We are currently exploring new ways to engage with the community, such as hosting more empowerment programs and events, expanding our social media presence, and creating new partnerships.”
